Vision
Jesus calls
all Christians to an ever more profound sense of mission and to
a commitment of service for the reign of God.
| “For
by its very nature the Christian vocation is also a vocation
to the apostolate...Indeed, the law of love, which is the Lord’s
greatest commandment, impels all the faithful to promote God’s
glory through the spread of (God’s reign) and to obtain
for all (people) that eternal life which consists in knowing
the only true God and Him whom God sent, Jesus Christ." |
-
Decree on the Apostolate of the Laity No. 2, 3 -
The
Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of O’Fallon have
responded to this call through their religious vows, a commitment
to communal living and furthering the mission of the church.
Partnership with the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood Community
provides an opportunity for others who share the same sense
of mission and commitment to respond to God’s call,
while at the same time maintaining their own living and working
situations. |
|
Impelled by
our charism of reconciliation, we, the Sisters of the Most Precious
Blood of O’Fallon, Missouri, open our hearts and community
to those lay persons who seek to be a reconciling presence in a
world broken, fragmented and violent. We desire to collaborate with
lay persons so that through mutual support we will be instruments
of peace at home, in ministry and in our Church.
CPPS Partners
in Mission and Sisters support one another through prayer and mutual
commitment to live out the mission of Jesus in our times.
